Description
If you wish to resolve a host name and the path taken by your data packets from here to there, you can do it the hard way or the easy way.

The hard way involves the use of conventional command line programs that often have an arcane interface. Instead, use WhoSock and get all the information you need at the touch of a button.

WhoSock can be used to get a list of domain names that are associated with a given IP address, a list of IP addresses that are associated with a given domain name, or the official hostname associated with both. You can also ping the host to see whether it is active, and trace the route of your packets to the server and back, all from the comfort of your Windows interface.
