Father’s word

Dear Friends:

Peter asked the Lord : “ we have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” (Mt 19:27). This was a blunt question. If they knew who were they following they wouldn’t ask this kind of question. But Jesus was kind with him, we know that from His answer, He did not rebuke him rather He gave him straight answers. What are we to get from Christ? Christ is far more generous than we are, He will give hundredfold of what we have lost in this life. But He will give it to us in the next life were we will be glorified with Him. Gambling with Jesus is worthwhile. He deserve a lot from us without even expecting a profit, because He already shed His blood for us on the cross. The only things worth asking is graces that He would grant us during our life, a happy death, dwelling is us the Holy Spirit, and a gift to love God and our neighbor as much as He loved us.

 نزلت من العلاء أيّها المتحنّن، وقبلت الدّفن ثلاثة أيّام، لكي تعتقنا من ألألام، فيا حياتنا وقيامتنا، يا رب المجد لك.

Merciful one, You came down from on high and endured burial for three days in order to save us from suffering. O our Life and our Resurrection, glory to You!

أيها المسيح الاله، ان كنيستك المتسربلة دماء شهدئك الذين في كل العالم، مثل بز وارجوان، نهتف اليك بواستطهم: ارسل رأفتك على شعبك، وهب لرعيتك السّلام، ولنفوسنا عظيم الرحمة.

Chirst God, your church, crimsoned with the blood of your martyrs all over the world as with a cloak o murex and porphyry, cries out to you:” Send your mercy upon your people, grant peace to your fold, and extend your great compassion upon our souls.”

Troparion of the Patron of the church (St. Joseph):

O Joseph proclaim to David the ancestor of Christ the great miracles you have witnessed: You have seen the Virgin with child, given praise with the shepherds and adored with the Wise Men, and the angel of the Lord has appeared to you. Intercede with Christ God that He may save our souls.
